Director of LAAB – confirmed juror of #mOOO2 [POPS] LONDON

Otto is co-founder and design director of LAAB.  Otto studied architecture at HKU and MIT, and worked in the US, UK and Italy where he designed smart city and inventive architecture. He was awarded the Young Guns of New York Art Directors Club in 2015 and was named as one of the “50 young game changers shaping Hong Kong’s future” by Hong Kong Tatler Generation T in 2017, and Prestige “40 under 40 vanguards of the city” in 2019.  Together with Yip Chun Hang, Otto was featured as one of the “Next Progressives” by the Architect Magazine, the official journal of American Institute of Architects.

LAAB is a laboratory for Art and Architecture dedicated to spatial innovations that are firmly rooted in the community, cultural, and environmental contexts. LAAB designs public space, public art, visionary architecture, and transformative interiors. Directed by Otto Ng and Yip Chun Hang, their collective of architects, designers, engineers, makers, and sociologists work together with forward-thinking clients and collaborators to bring visionary designs to life. 

LAAB’s work has reached various global design communities, with recognition from the American Institute of Architects International Region Design Award, the Japan Good Design Award Best 100, and the Best Craftsmanship by the Netherland FRAME Award.
